Seaway Flash Mob Brings Comfort and Joy to Holiday Shoppers


Christmas music is divisive. Some shoppers love it, some loathe it. But everyone puts up with it during those busy holiday shopping days.

One Canadian shopping center has bridged that divide to the tune of 14 million viewers (and counting). Seaway Mall hosted a flash mob, organized by Alphabet Photography, that’s brought joy to millions of international viewers.

What’s made this flash mob video so much more successful than many similar attempts? Part of it is controversy. A number of American news organizations have shown the video as an example of public religious practice. But it’s also a joyful occasion, perfect for the season.

According to Shopping Centers Today’s coverage, Seaway Mall has seen some positive results from their part in the video.
