Red Bull Gives One Athlete Wings
Richard Branson and Virgin are working toward the world’s first commercial spaceport. James Cameron and National Geographic took the first one-man mission to the deepest part of the ocean. Now Red Bull is taking one man into the stratosphere for what it hopes to be a free-fall jump of nearly 120,000 feet. Corporations and marketing seem to be driving the science of exploration these days.
While Red Bull hasn’t launched its mission yet, it’s very close. The first test dive was postponed due to wind, but when everything is said and done the brand should end up with something pretty amazing. In the meantime, Red Bull Stratos is glamorizing science and exploration for today’s generation through its website.
