P&G Goes Back to the Olympics
Proctor & Gamble has carved itself out the perfect niche in the world of Olympic advertising: appealing to mothers.
The company has it down to an art. The “Thank You, Mom” campaign has been a fixture of Olympic events for the past few years. In the lead-up to Sochi, P&G has been interviewing Olympic medalists and up-and-comers and their moms, discussing the joys and challenges of raising an Olympian.
And now, with the Olympics just around the corner, the company has reached out to thank all the moms that get up early, that push when pushing is called for and comfort when comfort is needed. All the moms that pick their young athletes back up every time they fall.
P&G supports its campaign with a Facebook page that posts regular inspirational content for and about moms.
