Lipton and Muppets Team Up For the Oscars

Oscar commercials don’t have quite the cachet of Super Bowl commercials, but that’s not to say that advertisers don’t see the value of reaching some 43 million viewers. Lipton is one brand that made great use of an Oscars spot to launch a new global campaign: #BeMoreTea

The ad pairs Lipton up with the Muppets. In a city taken over by Animals, Kermit keeps his cool with the help of some morning tea—and brings that cool to the aid of Miss Piggy. The spot also takes the opportunity to plug the next Muppets movie.

It’s a charming little spot, as all things Muppets tend to be. And viewers are on board—on top of Oscar watchers, the ad has picked up a couple million views already.
