Craftsman Sets Out to Create the Ultimate Handyman
Craftsman is looking for a few not-so-good men for its latest web-campaign: Screw*d.
The classic Sears tool brand isn’t looking for skilled handymen — it’s looking for the opposite, the least handy people it can find. It’s taking video submissions from people with little-to-no tool knowledge, but a good attitude. YouTube viewers will be able to vote on the applicants, and one will get the chance to earn a big payday.
The chosen one will be taken to Chicago and dropped into DIY situations with only Craftsman tools and the knowledge-base of online fans who will be following along and offering tips. If he can make it through the challenges and come out the other side as the ultimate handyman, he’ll take home $50,000. It’s all going to be broadcast online later this summer – it’ll be a web series worth watching, by the sound of it.
