Adobe Edits the Real World For Creative Days
Adobe is in the midst of celebrating all things that are made possible with its software with a series of Creative Days, events across Europe designed to let users discover what’s coming next from the brand, and to connect with industry pros, visionaries and other creative types to learn, exchange ideas and find inspiration.
As part of the promotion of the events, the brand brought in Photoshop wizard Erik Johansson to have a little fun with the unsuspecting public. Johansson holed up in a van near a bus shelter and photographed people who stopped to wait for the bus. While they waited, he edited them into a live bus shelter ad, tagging the result with #CreativeDay to spread the word. The edits were altogether adorable, with movie posters that put strangers together as romantic leads and other grand ideas.
Of course, in addition to drawing viewers’ attention to the Creative Days conferences, the ad does a very good job of showing just how quick and easy it can be to get impressive results out of Photoshop. And that’s a message that’s surely not lost on the people who’ve given the ad over 12 million views in less than a week.
