Billings Bridge Spreads Smiles Around

Last weekend, Billings Bridge made good deeds more profitable with its Smile Shop.

Here’s the scoop: From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, shoppers could visit the pop-up Smile Shop. After browsing the list of good deeds, they could pick one to complete for a loved one. In return for the smiles shoppers were agreeing to pass along, Billings Bridge gave out $10, $25 and $50 gift cards. The cards corresponded to the size of the commitment—buying a friend something they’d like might be a small one, having everyone over for a BBQ would be bigger.

To seal the deal, shoppers could sign in to Facebook using the on-site iPads to pass the good news along to the recipient. There were also prizes to be had for shoppers who shared their visit to the Smile Shop online.

There was one more step to making sure smiles were shared to their fullest. For each shoppers that visited the Billings Bridge Facebook page this week and posted proof that they completed their deed, the center made a donation to Majic 100′s #NoMoreBullies campaign which supports Youth Net. Before the day was over, the organization announced that Billings Bridge had raised over $5000 for the cause.

Talk about smiles all around.
