Westfield Sydney Shoppers Learn Modern Manners
Shoppers at Westfield Sydney have a unique opportunity thanks to on of the center’s unique retailers: Victoria Room Tea Salon is living up to its High-Tea-and-high-class reputation by offering a series of evening experiences that will teach shoppers how to navigate modern etiquette.
Registration for the Modern Manners series includes a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and canapés for the evening. It’s taught by Nathy Gaffney, the Tea Salon’s resident modern etiquette guru. It takes place one Thursday each month between now and October.
Each event covers a different topic – it’s not all about what to do with your pinky and which fork you should be using. Topics for the nights include things like ‘First impressions count,’ ‘Dress for success’ and ‘The modern manners guide to business communication etiquette.’ The big stuff that actually effects our day to day, in other words.
Participants will learn how to comfortably walk into rooms of strangers with a plan, how to build a personal brand online without sabotaging it through social media faux pas, and, yes, which fork to use next time they’re at a corporate dining event.
