Watters Creek Trains for Halloween
Watters Creek is getting ready for Halloween, and it’s getting shoppers ready too—not for the costumes, mind, but for the workout.
The center is holding its 4th annual Trek or Treat 5k on Saturday, October 26. It benefits Carson’s Crusaders Foundation, a non-profit that provides support and assistance to children and their families affected by solid tumor pediatric cancers.
The trek itself is part of an entire day of Halloween celebrations. After the costumed run, shoppers can take part in a ‘happy haunting’ sidewalk sale, kids club activities, live music, hay rides and, of course, some quality trick-or-treating.
The center is helping shoppers prepare in advance, too. Every Wednesday from September 18, the center is holding free social runs. Shoppers can start out easy and work their way up to a full 5K, and in the process enjoy specials at Watters Creek restaurants.
