Victoria Gardens Pampers Singles for Anti-Valentine’s Day
This is a busy week for anyone looking to celebrate their partners, their friends or themselves. We’re all familiar with Valentine’s Day on the 14th, but then there’s also Singles Awareness Day on the 15th (or 13th or 14th, depending on who you ask), and now Galentine’s Day on the 13th. That last one is a creation of the television comedy Parks and Recreation, but it’s taken on a life of its own as a day for women to celebrate the other great women in their lives.
So what’s a mall to do? Valentine’s Day is the obvious retail opportunity, but there’s something to be said for paying attention to the rest of the community. Victoria Gardens made sure shoppers got the attention they deserve with its Anti-Valentine’s Pamper Thyself promotion last weekend.
The center got two dozen of its retailers on board this very special day. Shoppers who took the time to pop down to customer service and pick up a red wristband found discounts, freebies and more. Shops gave away sugary treats, mini-makeovers, raffled off great girly prizes and offered deep discounts on clothes, accessories, and everything that makes a day out with the girls so great.
It also gave away absolutely darling chocolates in the shape of lipstick and nail polish. Yum.
