Victoria Centre’s Parking Achievement

801parkingSome milestones are celebrated with cake, and others get well-deserved certificates. The Victoria Centre in Llandudno just earned the latter to celebrate a stunning 21 years without a single theft from its car park.

Park Mark is a program organized by the British Parking Association. It’s intended to promote excellence in the management and security of public car parks across the UK, and 21 years without a theft is excellent by any standard.

Sue Nash, shopping centre manager, explains the significance of the award, “The ParkMark accreditation is an independent assessment of the center’s car park management strategy. It recognizes our commitment to public safety and excellence and the professional approach we adopt to managing our car parks.

She added, “The center has an excellent record over the years, and our staff ensure that the car parks are well-managed and checked regularly both on CCTV and in person. We are always pleased to have this work recognized. Our record of 21 incident-free years speaks for itself.”

To earn the award, Victoria Centre went through a rigorous risk assessment and inspection. This included the submission of the policies and procedures the center has in place to deter criminal activity and anti-social behavior. For the center, these include a state-of-the-art entry system and a comprehensive CCTV network, as well as regular security patrols.
