Uptown Village’s Wine Walk Gets Artistic

Uptown Village at Cedar Hill has been hosting a monthly Wine Walk for its shoppers for a while, now. The popular evenings allow shoppers to wind their way through the center, sampling complementary wine and food pairings at all sorts of different retailers. This month, however, the center is trying something a little different – it’s adding art to the mix.

The fundamentals of the Wine Walk are still in place, of course, but the Wine + Art Walk adds a selection of local art and artists to the experience. Seven artists and one museum will be exhibiting throughout the evening, and the artists will be on-hand to meet with guests. The artists work in all sorts of media, including painting, sculpture, jewelery and even toothpick sculpture.

The event is free, welcoming all shoppers over 21 years of age. When they show up at the center and sign in, they receive a commemorative wine glass, three drink vouchers for wine tasting, a map which will include the artists’ locations as well as designated wine tasting and food stations, and a goody bag with special offers from center stores and restaurants
