Up and Away at Quartier Dix30
The International Balloon Festival of St-Jean-sur-Richelie is only a couple weeks away now, and families are preparing to visit and ride some of the greatest hot air balloons from around the world.
If they just can’t wait for the festival to begin on August 14th, they can whet their appetites at Quartier Dix30. The Shopping Center will host one of the festival’s balloons for three days in August. The 100ft balloon will be tethered outside the shopping center, so visitors can get up close and personal. The balloon will make a lovely sight at the shopping center, designed to appear as a Chinese lantern lit up against a starry sky.
The balloon’s pilot will be on hand to answer questions, and while shoppers won’t be able to take rides at the shopping center, they will be free to enter the balloon’s gondola to get their photos taken.
