A Little Time for Mother Earth
We’ve talked about Earth Hour before, and malls have been great supporters for the previous events. In case you’ve missed out, it’s 60 minutes to turn out the lights on Saturday, March 27th, and 8:30pm. For many malls, that’s after closing hours, but since it’s lights out anyways, it’s a great chance to hold an outdoor gathering.
Earth Day is next month, on April 22nd. What are you planning? We’ve heard from Quaker Bridge Mall about it. It’s holding a Kid’s Club event that gives kids the opportunity to learn how to filter their own water (a valuable skill, since bottled water’s days are numbered). The kids will also get to take home a free garden kit to grow their own plants with. It’s also holding a shred event, to encourage shoppers to get rid of waste paper and move one step closer to paper-free. Let us know what your plans are.
