The Grove Launches Mobile Parking

502flashparkOne could say Los Angeles’ The Grove is a popular destination for shoppers, if one enjoyed understatement. As it is with any popular shopping center, parking can be an issue. The center’s owner and operator, Caruso Affiliated has just debuted something that should help with that among the always-connected shoppers of today.

The technology is called FlashPark, and it aims to make parking a stress-free experience. Bit of a steep goal, that, but it should certainly help. The service, which is incorporated directly into the existing Grove app, allows shoppers to add funds to a FlashPark account in advance, then scan a code on their phone as they enter and exit the parking lot to pay for parking directly from that balance. No cash, no cards—as easy as buying a coffee at Starbucks. It also saves shoppers the worry of losing their parking voucher and being charged the maximum fee. Plus, shoppers can allow the service to automatically reload when it reaches a certain balance—once again, much like a Starbucks card.

“At Caruso Affiliated, we are committed to providing innovative services, and the FlashPark™ platform will differentiate the onsite experience and offer the next phase of unparalleled services to our guests. We look forward to expanding FlashPark™ to other Caruso Affiliated properties down the road,” said Paul J. Kurzawa, Chief Operating Officer of Caruso Affiliated.
