The CORE Styles the Stampede
2012 is the 100 year anniversary of one of Canada’s biggest annual events: The Calgary Stampede. The CORE, one of Calgary’s top shopping centers, became the authority on Stampede fashion with 100 Days of Stampede Style.
Each and every day in the hundred day lead-up to the Stampede has featured the newest fashions, combining the best of contemporary and Western styles. Across blogs and social networks, newspapers and more, the center shared with shoppers and others alike.
As part of the event, the center ran a contest—the $10,000 Ultimate Stampede Style Contest. Shoppers could visit the center’s Facebook page and upload photos of themselves in their very best contemporary Stampede styles. Judges picked the top finalists last month and the public picked their favorites for the win.
The grand prize package was announced on July 4th, the day before the start of the Stampede. That’s when the CORE held its annual Stampede Fashion Show to the delight of shoppers from across the country and beyond.
