St. Enoch Centre Toddlers Toddle for Charity
Most toddlers we know aren’t big on charity work, but St. Enoch Centre expects to find itself more than a few little ones willing to help out for a good cause—Cancer Support Scotland, to be specific. The center is sponsoring its first-ever Toddle Waddle early in February.
Safe in the confines of the shopping centre, the under-5 set will have a chance to dress up in their favorite outfits, princess dresses or superhero costumes (really, anything goes) and walk for charity. Hamleys and Hatty Bear will lead the way through the center for quite the toddler endurance test.
Presumably the parents will help with the fundraising, but it’s the toddlers who need to walk the walk: 4000 baby steps through the center, to be precise. Every child who manages to complete the route will get a goody bag, with a Toddle Waddle certificate to follow when Cancer Support Scotland receives their sponsor money.
The best-dressed tot and the speedy kid who crosses the finish line first will both get extra-special goody bag prizes. The toddler who brings in the most funds will be rewarded with a Hamleys birthday party.
“We are proud to support Cancer Support Scotland and the Toddle Waddle is a fun way for our younger shoppers and their families to help this very worthwhile charity,” said Anne Ledgerwood, the center’s marketing director.
