Southgate Finds Home Decor Stars

220homeSouthgate is looking for the best interior designer in Edmonton, and it’s seeking out its shoppers help in making that selection.

The center wasn’t only looking at students or pros: the call was open to all with the desire to design. To enter, would-be designers simply had to register their Instagram accounts through the center’s website, pick a room to design and post the before and after photos. Simple enough.

Particularly considering the prize package on the line. The winner will get a head start on her next big project with $1000 gift cards to the center and Crate&Barrel. But that’s just the start. Her interior design career will get a boost (or a beginning) with a chance to design a showroom in Creekwood—a nearby housing development, a private meet and greet with professional TV designer Sarah Richardson, and a feature article in Creeklife and Avenue Magazine. The winner will also get to make use of her own booth space at the 2015 Edmonton Home + Garden Show and the opportunity to design a vignette for the center that will be showcased at the show.

The competition is in its final days, and down to eight finalists. Want to see what they came up with? Check it out on the center’s website.
