Southcentre Mall Re-Imagines the Possibilities of Life
January is a time for change. But it’s easy to make a list of resolutions, put it away in a drawer and forget about it for a year. It’s a lot harder to face real reinvention.
This month, Southcentre Mall is hosting five speakers who worked hard to reinvent themselves. Life Re-Imagined brings in five local inspirational figures who faced a spectrum of challenges and came through stronger. Ed Kang turned away from a stressful entrepreneurial career to a successful and satisfying career giving back to others. Tanis Tzavaras learned to take control of her body in a healthy, positive way in order to take care of herself and her children, and now helps others do the same. Rob Price changed his body, his career and his life to provide a better example for his young son. Brian Martin suffered paralysis but came through with a desire to challenge himself and his body. And Dawn McIntyre faced a lifetime of abuse, misfortune and self-doubt and now works to inspire other women to see themselves in a better, healthier light.
These five local inspirations were profiled for Avenue Magazine, and are now coming to Southcentre to encourage shoppers to celebrate positive change for themselves.
