Snapshots of Mother Earth
Metropolis at Metrotown is encouraging shoppers to get out and explore the world we live in.
The shopping center has had a good thing going with several recent photo contests, and it’s getting better at it each time. The Environmental Explorers contest asks shoppers to show off their best environmental photos for a great cause and a good prize – a digital-SLR camera and lens to up their photography game, and a chance to shoot for the Rivers Institute. Photographers who enter their work are asked to include a few words about the importance of environmental conservation. Seeing fantastic photos of the wild world with reminders of what we could be losing has a lot of impact. And Metrotown will donate 10 cents to the Rivers Institute for each vote placed on the site.
The microsite designed for the campaign is a treat. The simple, clean design really highlights the photos, and encourages visitors to vote and share.
