Shops at Don Mills Lights Up the Holidays
Shops at Don Mills is holding a Christmas Tree Lighting that will have a little something for everyone.
The shopping center will spend tonight lighting up two beautiful Holiday Trees in the Town Square, but they’re also looking out for the less fortunate.
It’s asking shoppers to spread the holiday cheer to families in need and support the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive. Those who bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more will get a coupon for a free sandwich from South Street Burger, a free hot drink and cookie from Aroma Espresso Bar and a chance to win a $100 center gift card or two tickets to the Grand Opening of The Bier Markt, a new European-style restaurant opening up at the center. Frankly, it’s a good deal even for the uncharitable.
And then there’s the arrival of a certain Jolly Old Elf. “This celebrated tradition kicks off the holiday season with exciting activities and attractions for the whole family,” states Lauren Genz, Marketing Manager, Shops at Don Mills. “Santa Claus will be dropping by with treats and a few of his reindeer, there will be a Christmas choir and carolers filling the square with festive music and activity stations for the kids.”
Mom and Dad can enjoy a bit of Christmas shopping with a chance to save a bit of money. The center will be offering a fashion passport, and shoppers that drop by certain retailers will have a chance to win themselves a $500 center gift card.
We do have one outstanding question though. Will the firefighters be present? It’s a well known fact that firefighters in Santa hats are the best way to launch the holiday season.
