Shops at Don Mills Brings Bavaria to Toronto
Some things are timeless, like a love of good Bavarian sausage and beer. No wonder Shops at Don Mills is heading into another Oktoberfest this fall.
From September 19-September 22nd, the center is transforming its Town Square into a celebratory beer garden with all the fixings.
Lauren Genz, Shops at Don Mills’ Marketing Manager, hopes shoppers will bring their family and friends to celebrate Oktoberfest in the Square. “Bier Markt brings the tastes and sounds of Germany to the Square in this outdoor festival. [Shoppers can] dance to live Rocktoberfest performances centre stage and feast on authentic German food.”
Inside the tents with their rows of picnic tables, shoppers will be able to enjoy treats like warm Bavarian pretzels and mustard, or Festhalle Chicken—a whole roasted and brined chicken with carway sauerkraut and Dunkel sauce. Other dining options include Veal Wurst, with Bavarian veal bratwurst, Weissbier sauerkraut, Emmental cheese and German mustard, or a slow-roasted Schweinsbraten sandwich.
Celebrants can also enjoy the real heart of Oktoberfest: the beer selection. Shops at Don Mills will be serving Paulaner, Erdinger and Hoftbrau on tap.
