Cresta Shopping Centre in South Africa it taking advantage of technology to recognize good service at its eateries, and make its shoppers feel good.
Visitors to any Cresta restaurant can rate the service they receive on a scale of 1 to 10. They can then text that information, along with the server’s name, the name of the restaurant, their own names and the amount they spent on their meal, to a promotional number. The promotion will run for fourth months, and each month one server and one customer will each win a R1000 (around 120 USD) voucher. At the end of the promotion one lucky server and customer will each take home a R10000 (around 1200 USD) voucher.
