School Holiday Fun at Milford and Bayfair Shopping Centres

School holidays are on in New Zealand, and that means parents hoping to keep their little ones occupied at the mall.

Bayfair Shopping Center is offering a fun activity for kids – a ‘Tree Takeaway’. Kids that stop by the shopping center on weekdays during the holidays can pick out a seedling of a native tree, and plant it in a biodegradable pot. With instructions, they can then plant the tree at home and learn about sustainability.

Meanwhile, Milford Shopping Centre is giving parents a real break with its supervised Learn to Paint program. For just $5, parents can leave their children over the age of 5 for a full hour. Painting supplies are provided, and children learn from a local professional painter. Classes are kept small so children can receive individual attention. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy themselves with a shopping break at the mall.
