Salt Lake Center Holds Storybook Halloween

1031saltSalt Lake Shopping Center brought beloved story books to life for Halloween over the weekend. The Hawaiian center went all out to make the holiday magical, starting with a free trip around the center in a beautiful Cinderella carriage.

Children under 12 could show off their storybook stylings in the center’s Keiki Costume Contest. With categories for the under 5 set, kids 6 – 9 and 10 – 12, the contest awarded prizes for scariest costume, most creative costume and best storybook character.

There were all the trappings of a great Halloween party besides: center-wide trick-or-treating, fun Halloween games and activities for all, and some make-and-take storybook creation. A storybook-themed Halloween photo area rounded out the day’s activities.

The center also welcomed the Salvation Army to the event to collect donations of money and canned food.
