Rouse Hill Captures Summer on Instagram
Summer seems like a long way away here in the chilly North, but it’s well on its way to winding down in Australia. Rouse Hill Town Centre is hard at work capturing these last days of summer with help from its shoppers.
The center is running a contest through Instagram asking shoppers to fill in the blank on the phrase “Summer is ______.” There’s a catch, however: they have to illustrate their take on summer somewhere within the center. Photos shared with the hashtag #RHTCsummer are picked up and shared on the center’s Facebook page, where they’re up for public vote.
There are some great entries in the gallery, and some very confusing non-sequiturs. It’s no wonder shoppers are inspired to snap anything and everything, between the ease of Instagramming and a $1000 gift card on the line. Because its photographers are ever so eager, though, Rouse Hill Town Centre is sure to end up with a well-documented summer at the end of this month. Hope there’s a scrapbook in the works.
