Riverside’s Live Christmas Music Delights
We’re deep into the holiday shopping season, and if your center is like most you probably already have your Christmas decor up. Maybe your Christmas tree is all lit up. But here’s a question for you: have you started playing Christmas music?
The day the holiday tunes start up is a divisive one. Some shoppers love it. Others loathe it. Retail employees sometimes wilt under the repetition of the same holiday classics. It’s hard to imagine that people will have that problem with the sort of holiday tunes Riverside Shopping Centre will be playing this year, though.
This weekend, the shopping center has invited The Swingtime Sweethearts to come perform both wartime classics and festive favorites all afternoon. Next weekend it will be indulging in more variety—jazz trio The Silk Street Santas will play timeless Christmass tunes with a New Orleans twist, and pupils from the Maple Grove School Choir will perform a range of popular carols.
On December 7th, people will shop to the soothing strains of a solo sax performance, and on December 14th the holidays will be transformed with the sounds of the Caribbean thanks to steel band Wade Austin duo. The day will wrap up with angelic carols perfomed by the Bennetts End Church choir.
“Music is a great way to create an atmosphere and we are delighted to be hosting these musical performances for our shoppers,” said David Robinson, Centre Manager. “There is something to appeal to everyone’s musical taste and we hope our shoppers enjoy the different acts in the lead up to Christmas.”
