Getting Ready for the Big Game
Are you ready for the World Cup?
Greenstone Shopping Centre is. The South African shopping center has been counting down until the start of the 2010 World Cup — did you know there’s only 78 days to go?
Greenstone kicked off the celebrations with 100 days to go. At noon on the hundredth day, center management, staff and tenants gathered (along with fans across the country) to sing the national anthem. They were dressed in the colors of Bafana Bafana (the SA national football team) and ready to show their support. Since then, the shopping center has borne the motto “One Nation – One Centre – One Team” to show how much it stands behind its team.
To keep the celebration going, the center is displaying flags from all the World Cup nations, and has World Cup themed displays in shop windows and center court.
