Quinte Mall Couple Hears Wedding Bells
It’s always nice to see a lucky couple get married at the mall, with a dream wedding package and a great vacation. But it’s even better to feel like part of that journey.
Earlier this year, Quinte Mall sought out local couples to submit the stories of why they wanted to get married at the mall. Hundreds of couples responded, and the judges for Get Married at Quinte Mall had a tough decision on their hands. But in the end, Nicki Farrow and Tyler Birney won out. Between the birth of their second son and the recent loss of the bride’s mother and grandmother, the couple were worried they wouldn’t be able to afford the wedding they’d hoped for. The Quinte Mall contest changed all that.
The shopping center’s community really responded to the couple’s story, and shoppers have been involved in every step along the path to their wedding, which will take place next week on July 16th. The community has voted on many aspects of the wedding, offering their selections for the first dance, the bride’s bouquet, the honeymoon, the dress and the tux. Nicki and Tyler have been blogging about their upcoming nuptials on the contest site, so shoppers can see their selections come to life, and catch the results of dress shopping, shoe shopping, hair trials and dance lessons. Quinte Mall has also been promoting the event on Facebook and Twitter, so those following along at home can keep up to date.
In just a few short days, it will all come together for Nicki and Tyler, with thrilled Quinte Mall shoppers looking on. Here’s hoping it’s the start of a beautiful marriage.
