Queensmere Observatory Plays With Its Shoppers

When you’re building your social network, it’s easy to think in terms of fans and friends. But what you’re really looking at is shoppers, and most of those shoppers are part of your original social network, your community.

Queensmere Observatory shopping center is building its local network with a fun new initiative. Staff from the shopping center have been turned into avatars for an upcoming online game for the whole community to enjoy. Locals will be invited to complete in the Hammer Throw, Bus Pull, VIP Q Jump and Trolley Ball. They can also play as staff from a local leisure center, newspaper and sports team.

The scores will be kept over a two month period, and the holder of the highest cumulative score will be crowned the Slough Games King or Queen. They’ll take home a package of local prizes including £300 in vouchers from Queensmere. It’s all part of a buy local campaign that positions Queensmere at the heart of its Slough community. Shoppers can try out the game at the shopping center when the game launches this weekend.
