Portraits of Presidents
Hamilton Place Mall, in Tennessee, US is reaping the benefits of a timely art exhibition. The shopping center is exhibiting C-SPAN’s American Presidents: Life Portraits, the only complete series of presidential oil portraits by one artist, Chas Fagan. The exhibition also features biographical sketches of all 44 US Presidents, photos from the White House archives, and historical front page newspaper articles.
Comcast, who sponsors the shopping center’s Center Stage, also set up a teaching area for classes visiting the exhibit.
This has been a valuable opportunity for Hamilton Place. It helped the shopping center secure a 2-year renewal for Comcast’s sponsorship, and opened doors to improved relationships with local print media. Having brought in thousands of dollars in publicity value, this timely event has been quite successful for the shopping centre.
