Polo Park Has Runway Cred
Since early last month, Polo Park’s style team has been hard at work to bring the runway home to its shoppers with the center’s Runway to Realway program. The center has a secret weapon in this task: Swish Productions, a Winnipeg-based modeling agency, has access to top models and can get up-close and personal with the runways. And Swish Productions just so happens to make up part of that style team.
The center’s Facebook page is full to the brim with runway looks that can be duplicated in center, and the professional expertise on display is compelling. Each look is sourced, explained and taken down to its fundamentals, and items that can achieve the same effect are found and shared. The agency shoots its models demonstrating the looks, and shares where (and for what cost) they can be found in Polo Park.
That’s not all Swish has brought with it, though: it has also brought models straight from the runway. The center’s Facebook fans have been introduced to some of Swish’s top discoveries, including Meaghan Waller, 2009’s Canada’s Next Top Model. Waller went on to make a name for herself in the industry, and now she’s come back to Polo Park to shop with Swish and share her picks for some of the center’s best fashion buys.
Meanwhile, Swish Productions is sharing even more on the center’s website, including tips on achieving some of this season’s most striking beauty trends.
