Let’s Play Dress Up


Westfield recalls the fun of playing dress up with its Be Styled microsite and campaign.

International stylist Carson Kressley (from Queer Eye among others) is visiting Westfield’s Australian centers this month and next, to help shoppers learn to dress with confidence (with some lucky audience members being picked out to be styled by Carson on stage). To mark the occasion, Westfield has put up its “Westfield Dress Up” site for shoppers to play with while they wait.

The site includes a few fun gadgets. One in particular has shoppers stand back from their webcam to try on styles from shops at Westfield centers. Shoppers can use hand gestures to move the virtual clothing items around, resize them and take photos for their friends.

Shoppers can also put together a virtual Dress Up Box, where they can store outfits they put together out of Westfield’s bag of tricks. They can share those outfits with friends via email, Facebook and Twitter.

The site also features Style TV, Westfield’s new fashion video series.
