Pickering Town Centre is Pretty in Pink
How are our readers thinking pink this month? Let me count the ways.
Pickering Town Centre is hosting a fun Breast Cancer Awareness event as we speak. Pink ribbons show that you support the cause, but Pickering shoppers can go even further to show how much they care with a new pink ‘do. On Friday and Saturday, the center was offering shoppers the chance to add a little flair to their hair with pink extensions, in exchange for a $5 minimum donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
With their new shock of color in place, they could then take in the Fall Fashion Exhibit, which was itself an extension of the center’s Pretty In Pink theme. The exhibit showed off methods of incorporating pink into a wardrobe, and it was well suited to shoppers who were looking for subtlety or bright loud color.
To ensure all its shoppers get the chance be pretty in pink, one of the center’s hair salons will be collecting donations and applying extensions all month.
