Park Royal transforms for winter
This weekend, LG, The Canadian Snowboard Federation, and Park Royal Shopping Centre are joining forces to celebrate the best that winter has to offer. The LG Mountain Festival coincides with LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, which hosts the world’s best snowboarders.
The festival is free, and has a lot to offer. Amateur snowboarders can take part in the City Rail contest, which requires a 20 foot high rail structure complete with real snow – two stories tall on the roof of the shopping center. Music lovers will be treated to the talents of five North American DJs. And since it’s Valentine’s Day, LG is also offering the XOXO fashion show, showcasing the latest in sexy lingerie and swimwear.
The World Cup events will be broadcast for visitors to the festival, who can enjoy it all from the comfort of the beer garden. And the winners of the competition will be given their awards on the festival stage each evening.
Last but not least, shopping center retailers will get in on the action with booths on the grounds. It all sounds like a lot of fun during this dreary February.
