Park Royal Brings in Tastes off the Truck
Summer is coming to an end, and with it the days of outdoor concerts and parking lot festivals. That hasn’t stopped Park Royal from sneaking in one more summery event before fall descends.
Taste of the Trucks on the North Shore brought a number of food trucks in from the nearby downtown area. The trucks were chosen carefully to offer the best. There’s Ze Bite, a french restaurant that offers traditional dishes like chicken basquaise and beef bourguinon. Le Tigre Cuisine serves modern Asian cuisine, contemporary interpretations of classic Chinese dishes. Finally, RimFoodBaht brought out authentic Thai food on the go.
Cupcake Vineyards offered a complementary wine bar for diners, with musical accompaniment from Noah Nine. Who says you need a fancy dining room to have an elegant evening, eh?
It’s only been a little more than a year since Vancouver started allowing food trucks beyond the classic hot dog vendors, so it’s still something of an experiment. But with centers and shoppers climbing aboard, it’s likely to be a great success.
