Ms. Easter Bunny Makes Her Debut at The Parks at Arlington

Sometimes a little change in your thinking can go a long way. That’s the position The Parks at Arlington found itself in this spring.

Rather than pull out the same Easter Bunny you see in most places, the center rethought its bunny-plans and made a few adjustments. You probably don’t think about the gender of your center’s bunny, but this new bunny is a lady. She’s also smaller, softer and ever-so huggable.

“The new bunny is designed to create a more magical experience for little ones who visit,” said Lorie Lisius, senior general manager at the center.

The new, more approachable bunny enjoyed a Welcome Party this week with the April Kids Club, called Hippity-Hoppity FUN!. They enjoyed Easter-themed crafts, including decorating fun foam eggs and making a funny bunny bag to take home. There were also stories, singing and dancing.

The Parks at Arlington is the first of General Growth’s shopping centers to showcase a newly designed bunny. Lisius also believes that this may be the first female Easter Bunny in the U.S. Is that correct? Do any of you have a female bunny at your centers?
