Metropolis Gets Its Game Face On

We’re under a month out from Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, and local shopping centers are getting in on the celebration. As part of its plans for the big day, the host committee for the game has recruited many of them to serve as Super Celebration sites.

The Super Celebration is going to be an all-out party for all ages across the city. A ton of events will feature at the celebration – charity walks, family activities, tailgate parties and pub crawls, to name just a few. Retailers can get on board through the free Super PASSport, a savings card that gives fans access to exclusive, limited-time offers and discounts from restaurants, retailers, local entertainment and events. Each day the PASSport features a “play of the day” that directs participants to a special event at one of the destinations. It might be a guest appearance, a prize drawing or a contest, but it’s sure to be fun.

Metropolis Shopping Center is taking part as a Super Celebration Site. Not only does this mean it will play host to all manner of activities, events and VIP opportunities as the Super Bowl draws closer, but it also positions the center as a vital transportation hub for the NFL Experience events and the Super Bowl itself. The host committee has worked with its Super Celebration sites to organize free shuttles that will take celebrants between the centers with their abundant parking and easy transit access to the downtown core, with all its insanity.

To help shoppers get their game faces on, the center is having a little fun with Eye-Black Friday. For the two Fridays leading up to the big game, anyone that shows up at Metropolis with eye black on will have a chance to win a $100 gift card on the spot.
