Meadowhall’s Well-Groomed Men
Men usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to being recognized for their good looks and good grooming. Just one of the many reasons, no doubt, that American Crew named August 16th National Men’s Grooming Day.
Meadowhall shopping centre decided to join in and celebrate some well-groomed men of its own for its Best Groomed Man 2013 competition. Up until the 11th, the center accepted nominations of photos tweeted to @LoveMeadowhall under the #bestgroomedman2013 tag. Judges picked five finalists, dapper gentleman all, and the center interviewed them on their grooming routines.
The results were posted on the center’s Facebook page, where a Like was counted as a vote. The competition was fierce, with hundreds of votes coming in, but one competitor had a leg up. Not only was Dan Deakin a well groomed man, not only did he have the most thought put into his grooming routine, but it turned out he was the partner of the mother of One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson. Given the voting power of One Direction fans… well, it’s impressive that the race was as close as it was.
As the winner, Deakin gets six styling sessions at Alan Paul Hairstylists in Meadowhall, and a bundle of American Crew products valued at £100.
