Meadowhall Crowns a New Queen
While the Diamond Jubilee is all about celebrating one Queen and her reign, Meadowhall has another in mind during these happy times: the Queen of Sheffield. As part of Meadowhall’s Great British Summer, one lucky (and exceptional) local will be crowned Queen of the community.
The hope is to find an unsung hero who deserves to be recognized and honored. Shoppers had the chance to nominate the women who made a difference in their lives. Now shoppers, and readers of The Star, have the opportunity to vote on their new Queen.
The finalists include women who range from 18 to 63, women who have worked hard to bring together their community and help those in great need.
The winner of the vote will not only be crowned Queen of her community; she’ll also earn a makeover, personal styling, £100 of clothes and a celebratory meal for eight.
