Making the Band
Place d’Orleans has fun planned for March break.
The shopping center is holding a Battle of the Bands; Rock Bands, that is. Groups of four can sign up with a local radio station to get the chance to compete in a virtual showdown. Bands compete to win a spot in the finals, along with prizes from youth-friendly retailers like EB Games and West 49. Most of the competition slots are filled by the radio station, but each day of the preliminaries offers a Wildcard slot for drop-in bands.
The winners get $1000 in shopping center gift cards, but it sounds like the competition will be fun for all the participants, winners or otherwise. What a great way to get kids into the mall for their spring holidays.
