Macy’s Courts Traveling Shoppers


Macy’s is courting travelers from near and far with a new web venture. This week, the retailer launched VisitMacysUsa.com to help travelers fit a trip to Macy’s into their travel plans, whatever those plans might be.

Whether shoppers are planning a personal trip, a group trip or a business trip, Macy’s has plans to get them into the store. For personal trips, Macy’s offers savings passes available for download on their sites. Domestic and international visitors can both get 10% off their purchases. For groups, the retailer highlights tours of flagship stores, group presentations and activities. For business traveling, Macy’s offers visitor savings passes to include in attendee materials and meeting space.

VistMacysUSA.com also highlights the retailer’s different shopping packages – its VIP program, Shop and Dine packages, and cultural tours. The site will soon tie in with a hotel booking system. It all makes spreading their traveler promotions simple, and offers organizers an easy path to planning.
