#LifeOnTheRow Chronicles Santana Row Shopping


829santanarowSantana Row started a very Silicon Valley promotion in June, one that’s given the center a chance to see what diners and shoppers are seeing, tweeting and Instagramming about.

Each month, shoppers are invited to share their shots with the hashtag #lifeontherow. They’ve taken to the task with photos of new outfits, haircuts, meals, events and artsy shots of the center’s landscaping.

At the end of the month, the center posts all the photos to albums on Facebook and Pinterest. The person who took the best or most original photo snags a gift card to a Santana Row restaurant, where they’ll hopefully find a little more photo inspiration.

The first couple months of the promotion have seen plenty of tweets, including particularly popular photos pets, food, the property, and group shots of shoppers having fun with their new buys in the common areas, which are full of parks, benches and outdoor art.

“Twitter is a fantastic tool to promote to the public in real-time what is happening at Santana Row,” says Chelsea Phelps, marketing coordinator. “The #LifeontheRow contest was created as a way to engage our shoppers, residents and employees and share the unique lifestyle space Santana Row offers.”
