Lakeside Enjoys Tag-Team Flash Mobs

Oh, this is fun. Lakeside shopping center had a bit of a flash mob experience over the weekend. While flash mobs are getting a bit long in the tooth, the center found a great way to keep it fresh: not one flash mob, but three.

In the morning, Bowka groups got together to show of the latest in dance fitness trends. That one raised money for St. Luke’s Hospice. Then, just as shoppers were getting back to reality, Rock Choir members and street dance crew Designed Kaos showed off their skills to raise money for Comic Relief.

Not only did crowds of hundreds gather to take in the delightful show, they also donated a total of over £800 for the charities.

“We have the opportunity to help charities reach a large audience here at Lakeside so we were delighted to host these flash mobs,” said Izzie Peskett, Lakeside’s marketing manager. “We also thought it would be a fantastic way to treat our shoppers to a fun surprise when they were least expecting it.”
