Knox Shopping Centre Goes Red for Women’s Hearts
Knox Shopping Centre has gone all-in for heart health. It’s taking part in the Heart Foundation’s Go Red For Women campaign this month, to raise awareness of heart disease to educate women on the importance of caring for the own heart health.
This weekend, the center will be home to the Go Red for Women Roadshow. Swimming champion and 2011 Cleo Bachelor of the Year Eamon Sullivan will get the ladies’ hearts racing when he shows off his cooking skills at the center. On top of hourly heart-healthy cooking demonstrations, the show will also feature guest speakers, exercise routines and prizes galore. It’ll also give women a chance to sign up for the 10-week Healthy Heart Challenge.
Knox Shopping Centre has also picked four women that they will kickstart with pledges to the Healthy Heart Challenge. The challenge encourages women to take small, manageable steps to build heart health.
Finally, the center is offering up pieces of its Heart Foundation puzzle for two dollar donations. Each piece has a chance of winning its owner a $250 gift card.
