Kingdom Shopping Centre Promotes Biodiversity
Kingdom Shopping Centre is wrapping up its school holiday events in the best way: sending kids back to class with all kinds of plans to help the environment. This friday, the center is host to the fourth annual Glenrothes Environment Day, entitled “Biodiversity begins with a “B.”
The free event will be filled with stalls where children can enjoy all sorts of environmentally-aware activities—making windmills, planting seeds and drawings. Adults are also welcome, not only for information about biodiversity, orchards, allotments and more, but for the fun of painting flowerpots and learning to grow edible gardens. Yum.
All manner of community groups are getting involved including organizers Take a Pride in Glenrothes, Falkland Stewards, The Ecology Centre, Re-Paint Scotland and a lot more. Sparky, the center’s electric truck, will also be on-hand to give folks a look at the power of green.
