King of Prussia Mall Turns Shoppers into Models for a Day
Last weekend, as part of Simon Fashion Now, King of Prussia Mall turned a number of its shoppers into models for a day. Two of them, on the other hand, became models for a year.
The Model For a Day competition asked shoppers 15 and over to head to the center the day of the competition dressed in their most fashion-forward outfit. In order to prepare them for the runway, women were asked to show up in a dress, clean makeup and with their hair tied back. Men had a little more leeway.
Two hours after registration, it was straight onto the runway. Representatives of Wilhelmina of Philadelphia were on hand to help judge the best two of the bunch (one male and one female winner), who turned their afternoon’s stroll on the runway into a one-year contract with the agency.
In addition to the contract, the winners will enjoy a fashion shoot with a New York photographer, a session with a professional runway coach, a chance to walk the runway a little later this month at the Simon Fashion Now show, $100 gift cards, VIP seats to the fashion show and exclusive swag and tote bags.
