The Best Kind of Dog-O-Ween
Habersham Village Shopping Center used Halloween as an opportunity to support a great cause. The highlight of the spooky day was the Halloween Pet Adoption Fair.
First up was the Pet Costume Contest, where puppies who already had loving families could strut their stuff on the runway. Winners took home treats including gourmet pet food, laser engraved pet tags, and gift certificates to TailSpin, the shopping center’s pet supply store.
Eight local pet rescue agencies were on hand with pets looking for loving homes, and with information on how to help.
Other activities offered at the event included pet micro-chipping, vaccinations, dog wash, pet nail clipping, pumpkin painting contest, face painting, and a cook-out. All proceeds were split amongst the attending pet rescue agencies.
