Janss Marketplace’s Annual Reign of Terror
Janss Marketplace is preparing for 12 bone-chilling nights of terror as it opens the doors to its annual Haunted House next Friday. The Reign of Terror haunted house is ranked as one of the top-ten haunted houses in the US, and this year it’s better than ever.
With 65 rooms—over 12,000 square feet— the scares are practically unending. This year brings new scenes, scares, animatronics and a brand new Miner’s Revenge experience. Every Friday and Saturday throughout October and on Halloween, shoppers can pit themselves against all the those big scares.
For younger shoppers, the center is offering a slightly subdued scare on a pair of Saturday afternoons. For those windows, the house will be illuminated—still full of frights, but none of the unknown.
Adults can accompany children for the daytime event for free, and kids can explore for $5. Nighttime tickets are $15.
Janss Marketplace will donate profits from the Haunted House ticket sales to the Conejo Recreation and Parks District. The money benefits the district’s Thousand Oaks Teen Center and Young Artists Ensemble programs. A little fright for a great cause—and last year the center generated $10,000 in donations.
