Inner Peace for the Holidays at Shops at Don Mills
There are plenty of ways to help shoppers de-stress for the holiday season, and the more you have in your arsenal, the better. Shops at Don Mills had more than a few ready this year, moving ever-closer to the impossible dream of a stress-free holiday.
For shoppers that need some serious unwinding, the center is offering free Karma Yoga sessions in its Holiday Studio on Sunday, December 1, Monday, December 9 and Tuesday, December 17. These all-ages, all-skill level classes give shoppers the chance to breathe deep and relax in a candlelit studio. A little inner peace never hurts, after all.
For those worried about the practicalities of putting on a holiday event to remember, the center has two big workshops planned. For the first, Breakfast Television’s Frankie Flowers will stop by to teach guest how to create their holiday floral arrangements and window boxes. The second gives shoppers a chance to learn a key skill: holiday table setting. Both workshops include appetizers and drinks, as well as welcome gifts for guests. Both are free, but donations to the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive are requested.
Finally, the holiday season at Shops at Don Mills will be peppered with brief breaks from the usual intensity with a series of Holiday Shop Hops. On Wednesdays evenings through December, retailers will open their doors for special 30 minute sessions with appetizers, drinks, discounts and promotions.
